I’ve never been more shocked by a restaurant’s pricing policies. I went to Saigon with high hopes, but my experience was soured when they tried to charge me $1.50 for a small side of sauce that should have been included with my meal. When I asked the server about it, they simply shrugged and said it was “policy.” I asked for 2 so she’s said it was $3 I said it was cool to pay but then she said the minimum was $5 with card! I paid $17 for spring rolls but I couldn’t get extra sauce!I get charging extra for specialty items or upgrades, but for something as basic as sauce? Ridiculous. It’s a cheap move that makes me feel like they’re nickel-and-diming customers. The food wasn’t even exceptional enough to justify this kind of behavior.Definitely won’t be coming back. It’s not about the $1.50 – it’s the principle. I shouldn’t have to pay extra for something that should be a basic part of the meal. If you're looking for a place that values its customers, look elsewhere.
